South Euclid-Lyndhurst School District in Ohio was recently named a Momentum District, with Greenview Middle School named a Momentum School! ANet has had a presence in the district through ANet Coach Tracy Glenn. In the past two and a half years Tracy has had the pleasure of coaching a variety of SELSD leaders, including Greenview Principal Megan Young, and facilitating professional learning for all principals.
The Momentum Award is granted by the Ohio Department of Education to districts and schools that:
- Demonstrated outstanding improvement in achievement and continue to show growth.
- Improved their performance index by 3 or more points from the 2021-2022 report card to the 2022-2023 report card.
- Received a value-added progress rating of 4 or more stars.
“I’ve seen consistent improvement and progress made through norming on terms and learning collaboratively. The principals in SELSD have applied this to support teachers in the data chat process leading to an impact on student learning,” said ANet Coach Tracy Glenn.
Director of Curriculum & Instruction Rae Bastock and Deputy Director, K-12 Academics Tamara “Tammy” Bishko have led the instructional vision for the district with strategic decision-making and a focus on improvement. In year two of implementing enVision Math, their chosen high-quality instructional material, they focused on using the content as the basis for their partnership with ANet. Coach Tracy Glenn attended principals meetings alongside Bastock and Bishko to help build the principal’s knowledge around every step of their data chat protocol, a process similar to ANet’s teaching and learning cycle. All of their intentional work has resulted in receiving a Momentum Award!
